The Graciano it is a late sprouting variety that comes from other Spanish regions like Rioja, but it has been well adapted to the climate in la Mancha. The location of our vineyards helps to this grapes to achieve the perfect maturation, high acidity and strong round tannins. The winemaker look for character, structure and longevity of Graciano grapes in this well balance blend with our best Tempranillo grapes.
VINEYARD: Finca Los Cruces.
YEAR(S) PLANTED: 35 – 45 years old for Tempranillo vineyardas and 10 year old for Graciano. The Graciano vineyards are approximately 10 years old.
YIELDS: 3 kg per plant.
ALTITUDE: 650 – 700 m.
SOILS: Sandy iron rich soils intermixed with small stones and chalk. Very poor in organic matter. 5ft. beneath the surface is a layer of red clay.
CLIMATE: Continental. Large temperature swings between day and night. Precipitation is very rare. A Very arid climate with rain exclusively falling at the end of fall and during the winter. More Than 3,000 hours of sun per year.
HARVEST: The tempranillo is a late harvest at the end of september – early October, all done by hand. The Graciano is a late harvest in the middle of October.
WINEMAKING: The grapes are sorted meticulously at the winery, and fermented in stainless steel tanks by indigenous yeast. Malolactic occurs in tank, and the wine is transferred to second and third vintage French oak barrels for ageing. Each variety are vinified in separate lots.
AGEING: 6 months in second and third vintage French oak Bordelaise and Burgundy barrels.
Varieties: Macabeo & Verdejo
Vintage: An exceptional year in terms of mild temperatures and well-timed rainfalls in spring, that have helped the slow ripening of Macabeo and Verdejo varieties which this 2018’s vintage is elaborated with. The harvest has been carried out later than the usual dates taking care of the vegetative cycle and optimum ripeness of the grapes.
Vineyard: Located at the southeast of Cuenca province, in the town of Casas de Los Pinos, at an average of 600/700 meters above sea level, influenced by an extreme continental climate and surrounded by pine forests and underbrush, all of them factors that form an exceptional shield for vines’ health, circumstances that allow a ultivation with minimal interventions, environmentally friendly.
Vineyard:Hand-harvested after the second week of September. The wine is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. In every winemaking step, effort is made to retain freshness and bright acidity.
Tasting Analysis:This wine features a beautiful greenish yellow colour, bright. Floral notes and ripe fruit aromas. Fresh in the mouth, with crisp acidity and slight sweetness.
100% Verdejo

HARVEST: Low rainfall and high temperatures during the last ripening phase of the grape, which in contract to forecasts, delayed the start of the harvest thanks to the huge temperature range and led to a slow ripening which resulted in good acidity and fruit.
VITICULTURE: Sourced from a block of Verdejo in the single estate vineyard site – Finca Los Cruces – that was planted in 1994. These were the first Verdejo vines planted in the region.
The globet trained vines are managed with traditional dry farmed viticulture with minimal intervention and are harvested by hand.
WINEMAKING: Late harvest from the first half of September.
Fermentation controlled at a temperature of 15 degrees, clean musts in stainless steel vats. At every stage of production great care is taken to maintain the freshness and acidity for which the Verdejo is known
TASTING NOTES: Yellow with green reflections. Aromas of white flowers, stone fruit and aromatic herbs. Very fresh with good acidity, fruity and balanced.

In the months of August and September the marked temperature range helped the grapes reach their phenolic ripening optimum, resulting in a year of high quality.

Organic viticulture, working the soil in the traditional way without the intervention of chemical products.
WINEMAKING: The grapes are sorted meticulously at the winery and fermented in stainless steel tanks by indigenous yeast. Malolactic occurs in tank, and the wine is transferred to second and third vintage French oak barrels for aging.
TASTING NOTES: Bright violet color. Aromas of red berries, spices and dried flowers with a spicy note that is becomes pronounced as it breathes. Juicy in the mouth, offers fresh currants and cherry flavors. Fine- grained tannins add to a long finish with accented spices.
