An exceptional and exclusive wine from Alicante Singular , a privileged section within the Alicante Denomination of Origin.
THE VINEYARD: Monastrell sourced from the unique plot “La Cruz,” located in El Rodriguillo at an altitude of 670 meters with a southeast orientation. A vineyard with over 50 years, bush-trained and strictly rain-fed, its roots growing in limestone soils with scant organic matter influenced by the Mediterranean climate and low rainfall. All of this results in very small, smooth berries with intense aroma and gentle tannins that characterize the singularity of this plot.
WINEMAKING: During the first week of October, the best clusters are manually selected, using boxes of no more than 5 kg, transported immediately to the winery located just 2 km away. These grapes go through a sorting table before des-temming, then move to open tanks where, after a light maceration, fermentation takes place with native yeasts. Finally, the wine ages in French oak barrels for 10 months, undergoing malolactic fermentation. Limited and certified production of 15,000 bottles.
TASTING NOTES: Captivating intense and bright red color. On the nose, it unfolds a broad spectrum of nuances dominated by red fruit notes intertwined with spices and balsamic touches, evoking freshness and depth. Barrel notes emerge in the background, allowing the uniqueness of this Monastrell plot to take center stage.
On the palate, the wine exhibits a friendly attack that flows toward the finish with an explosion of fresh fruit and great silkiness in the fine, creamy, and melting tannins. This wine stands out for its weight and tension in the mouth, expressing itself with great elegance, fluidity, and persistence. Chocolate and licorice notes linger in the aftertaste, giving way to elegant fruit notes that showcase the singularity of this wine and its origin plot.
