Volver 2015, Gold medal in Competition of Tempranillos de the World

The namesake of Bodegas Volver received a gold medal in the World of Tempranillos held in London last December.

Bodegas Volver began 2018 on a good foot. If only a few months before Tarima Hill 2015 was distinguished as the 17th top wine in the world. In the last few weeks Volver 2015 has also been awarded for its quality. The most important international competition has awarded this full-bodied, mature red wine in its gold medal category.

This medal is not the only one which has been bestowed on Volver 2015. Wine Spectator magazine classified it on its list of best wines under 20€ on the list of “Great Reds” this year. Thomas Matthews, a critic from this prestigious publication, defines it as a wine full of flavours of black cherry and red plum, combined with notes of cocoa and liquorice and a generous red colour. A fruity style, with depth. These flavours add to their intense eloquence aromas of crystallised fruit and liquor due to its malolactic fermentation for 15 months in French oak barrels.

The year of 2015 is not the only acclaimed year. 2014 obtained 92 Parker points and 93 from the Peñin Guide. A wine which was described as a thing of beauty, a modern versión with international style of the variety 100% Tempranillo.

Volver 2015, from D.O La Mancha, an outstanding wine producing area on a national and international scale, is much more than its taste. It is a synonym for tradition with its origin in vines planted 60 years ago in the Finca de los Juncares. Its harvest is carried out by hand from pre-selected grapes in the vineyard and later on the selection table of the winery.
